LCV APS-2 Germany: Maintenance Technician (HVAC)
Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). Job Summary
As a Maintenance Technician (HVAC), you will report to and receive assignments, instructions, and direction from the Foreman or General Foreman. Your duties will include installing, servicing, and repairing environmental control units ranging from window units to chill water systems in an extreme environment. Other tasks may include working on Dining Facility Equipment and Laundry Equipment.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Perform HVAC maintenance, repair, and installation tasks.
2. Respond to service calls and troubleshoot HVAC system issues.
3. Analyze, diagnose, and recommend solutions for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning problems.
4. Install, repair, and maintain HVAC equipment, including compressors, motors, fans, and thermostats.
5. Follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.
6. Collaborate with other team members and departments as needed.
7. Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
8. Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
9. Stay informed about advancements in HVAC technology and industry best practices.
10. Perform other duties and activities as directed.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
11. Must have at least 3 years of directly related HVAC experience.
12. Must have 2 years’ experience recovering, recycling, and reclaiming refrigerants.
13. Must have a Universal EPA Certification.
14. Must have excellent English communication skills (written and oral).
15. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
16. Knowledge of all relevant safety standards related to area of responsibility required.
17. Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis as well as climb, reach, crawl, bend, crouch, and work in tight spaces.
18. Requires a valid Driver's License.
19. Must have a valid Passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
20. Professional certification in HVAC.
21. Knowledge of dining facility equipment repair.
22. Knowledge of laundry equipment repair
23. Familiarity with the latest advancements in HVAC technology.
