For our client we are currently looking for a Health, Safety and Environment Associate Manager / Location Braunschweig (m/f/d) - Braunschweig.
Your tasks
1. Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive ISO 45001 and 14001 certified HSE Management Systems, Contribute to corporate HSE policies and procedures
2. Manage HSE documentation, records, and reporting requirements effectively
3. Complete site and operational HSE risk assessments to identify and control safety hazards and environmental impacts
4. Implement risk controls as defined by risk assessment results
5. Ensure HSE compliance locally, including monitoring local laws, regulations, standards, and client requirements using 3rd compliance management tools
6. Advise local Health and Safety Committees of regulatory requirements
7. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions
8. Provide leadership and guidance to employees on health, safety, and environmental matters by coordinating and administering HSE training, education, coaching and job permitting (LOTO, confined space, hot work, etc.)
9. Ensure visitor and contractor HSE risks are identified and managed
10. Develop and deliver safety talks
11. Implement and maintain HSE communications including team lists, comm boards, hazard alerts
12. Collaborate with the Life Safety Team to ensure emergency response measures are functional and tested (Including drills)
13. Conduct regular HSE inspections and audits including ISO audits to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards and corporate requirements
14. Manage chemical inventory and related procedures (evaluation of response, quantities, proper PPE, storage, and disposal)
15. Manage the storage, use, disposal and transportation of hazardous materials, including maintenance of local Safety Data Sheet (SDS) inventory
16. Collect and report environmental sustainability data
17. Monitor and analyze HSE performance metrics to track progress, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement
