Your tasks
* Independent research in the field of magmatic and/or hydrothermal geochemistry/petrology, e.g., the formation and evolution of magmas and associated fluid processes
* Active participation in teaching in magmatic and hydrothermal geochemistry/petrology and geodynamics, including lectures, seminars, and field trips (5 hours per week per semester)
* Co-supervision of Bachelor's and Master's theses
* Taking responsibility for the operation of the X-ray fluorescence spectrometry and rock preparation equipment of the research group, supported by appropriate training if necessary
* Taking responsibility for the operation of the research group's fluid containment system
* Supporting the research group's IT infrastructure and the GeoZentrum CIP pool
* Participating in administrative and organizational tasks within the department and contributing to academic self-governance
* Acquiring third-party funding and participating in interdisciplinary research initiatives
Your profile
* An above-average university degree (Master's/Diploma [University]) in the field of Geosciences with a focus on geochemistry
* An above-average doctoral degree and publications in international journals
* Professional experience in academia in the field of analytical geochemistry
* Teaching experience in university courses, as well as in supervising student theses and doctoral dissertations
* German language skills are an advantage
Additional information
The position is classified in salary grade A13 of the Free State of Bavaria and is limited to 6 years. The position can be filled as soon as possible. Salary is based on experience and marital status ().
