The company seeks a Principal Product Designer to make complex enterprise tax compliance feel simple by untangling dense, multi‑step workflows.
Role and Responsibilities
Design user experiences across complex B2B workflows—from data ingestion to filing—focusing on measurable business impact such as self‑service adoption and API integration success.
Use structured discovery and evaluative research to map business outcomes to user opportunities, employing frameworks like Opportunity Solution Trees and supporting decisions with interviews, analytics, and session reviews.
Mentor designers, product managers, and cross‑functional colleagues, advancing the team’s design thinking and advocating for users.
Partner closely with product managers and engineering leads as an equal‑standing advocate, shaping requirements and trade‑off discussions before build.
Drive a test‑and‑learn culture, prioritising early user feedback and purposeful iteration over perfection.
Professional Qualifications Required
8–10 + years of product design experience, largely within B2B SaaS or enterprise platforms featuring complex, data‑heavy workflows.
Deep mastery of multi‑step workflow design, dense information architecture, and data‑rich interfaces for professional users.
Hands‑on proficiency with AI‑powered prototyping tools (e.g., Figma Make, Claude Code) and a willingness to adopt new technologies.
Strong discovery and research skills—including user interviews, data synthesis, and evaluative testing—to validate designs.
Track record of mentoring designers or cross‑functional team members, raising the design bar within the organization.
Nice to Have
Front‑end technical fluency with React or component libraries to accelerate prototype fidelity.
Product management experience or competency, articulating business outcomes and trade‑offs.
Background in regulated domains such as regtech, fintech, tax, or compliance.
Experience designing consumer‑facing products, enhancing your perspective on user motivation and engagement.

Compensation Base salary range: $185,000–$235,000, with potential incentive, equity, and benefits based on location, experience, and qualifications.
