Purpose of Position
Awin’s Financial Analytics team sits at the intersection of finance, data and commercial decision-making and is fundamental to shaping the company’s financial future and strategic direction through expert data analysis and financial modelling. We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to take us to the next level, acting as a Lead Developer for the company’s suite of financial reporting, KPIs and modelling. Technical proficiency in data, a background in finance, and a commercial mindset are critical for this role. But more than that we need someone who can tell a story with data, who understands what business leaders need to make decisions and has the courage to innovate.
Key Tasks
1. Contribute to the squad’s financial reporting and modelling including sales, revenue, opex, personnel, subscription metrics such as ARR and CLV, new business, churn, balance sheet and cashflow analysis
2. Act as the “senior developer”, setting standards, coaching other team members and ensuring the highest quality of deliverables
3. Design and implement dashboards, reports and models that support financial planning, forecasting, and reporting
4. Collaborate closely with other squads across Data Engineering and Finance to procure, ingest and model the data necessary to streamline decision-making across the organisation
5. Support the Product Owner and Manager with squad backlog: using expert knowledge to help refine requirements, prioritize user stories, ensure clarity and alignment with stakeholders
6. As a Senior support Manager in vision / strategy, roadmap planning and leading innovation such as the incorporation of new tools or methods such as AI / M
Skills and Expertise
7. At least five years in Financial or Business Analytics
8. Knowledge of Accounting / Finance
9. Analytical, pro-active and inquisitive, with a proven ability to take ownership and generate valuable new ideas
10. Exceptional communication skills the candidate needs to be able to shift seamlessly from talking technical details with engineers to talking strategy with management
11. Bachelor’s Degree in a Finance, Business or Analytics related field
12. Expertise with SQL and Tableau is essential
13. Fluent English
