This job opportunity involves delivering incident resolution and request handling services for data center network and security infrastructure. Key responsibilities include installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, monitoring, capacity management and maintenance of switches, routers, firewalls, NAC, load balancers, web application firewalls, proxies, DNS and VPN connectivity.
The Data Center Infrastructure is a mixed Cisco ACI and Cisco Nexus environment. Security technologies primarily comprise PaloAlto/Checkpoint/Fortinet/Cisco FirePower firewalls, F5 load balancers and WAF, Infoblox and Efficient IP DNS.
Network and Security Engineers work closely with vendors and manufacturer staff to coordinate operation and repair, determine and correct problems during set-up and operation.
A bachelor's degree in IT or IT Security, or equivalent professional competencies supported by relevant certifications and extensive experience are required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Installation, configuration, monitoring and incident/problem resolution of Network switching equipment and routing equipment
* Monitoring and incident/problem resolution of security equipment
* Patch/upgrade systems to maintain the required security and support levels
* Monitor performance and capacity of the infrastructure
* Works closely with users to understand needs, define and solve incidents/problems
Requirements:
* Cisco IOS software (ACI is a plus)
* Firewalls and VPN servers
* Syslogs and syslog servers
* LAN switch and router management
* TCP/IP communication
* VLAN expertise
* Configure and troubleshoot networking technologies, including MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
