Senior Formulation / R&D Scientist – Long-Acting Injectables (Freelance)
We are supporting a global pharmaceutical innovator on a 12+ month freelance project (ASAP start) requiring deep expertise in long-acting injectable (LAI) drug product development.
You will support critical NCE and MBE programs, including peptides/biologics, providing hands-on formulation input and technical oversight from early development through pre-GMP and GMP stages.
The focus is on sustained-release parentals, identifying early formulation risks, supporting scale-up strategy, and working closely with internal teams and CDMOs.
Requirements:
Strong experience in LAI / sustained-release injectables
Background with peptides or biologics
Solid CMC and pre/post-GMP understanding
Ability to combine technical depth with project coordination
Ability to identify potential formulation pitfalls and resolve
Fluent English (German a plus)
