Job Overview
The AI Architect (m/f/d) is a senior technology leader responsible for defining the technical architecture, platform guardrails, and solution patterns required to scale AI across the Automotive Business Unit. Reporting to the AI Product Owner and working closely with the Transformation Success Managers (TSMs), Regional IT Directors, ADITRAC, TEIS, OneData, and external partners, this role owns the architectural framework that enables fast, secure, and scalable AI delivery across regions and functions.
This role ensures that AI initiatives are built on the right technical foundations, using approved tools, reusable components, and fit-for-purpose architecture patterns. The AI Architect (m/f/d) will accelerate value creation by guiding technology choices, enabling rapid PoCs, and defining clear guardrails that balance speed, flexibility, security, and scalability. The position blends enterprise architecture, AI platform strategy, technology governance, and hands-on enablement in a complex global manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a Senior AI and Technology leader (m/f/d) with proven experience designing scalable architecture and enabling rapid AI execution in large, matrixed, and regulated organizations. The ideal candidate combines strong architectural depth with practical delivery focus, and has a track record of translating emerging AI capabilities into enterprise-ready solutions.
The ideal candidates will bring experience in:
* enterprise AI architecture and platform design
* defining technical guardrails for AI, GenAI, automation, and data solutions
* selecting and governing AI tools, platforms, and vendor ecosystems
* enabling rapid prototyping and PoCs while ensuring scalability and compliance
* aligning architecture, data, integration, security, and delivery teams
* defining reusable patterns that improve speed of execution and reduce duplication
Experience in Automotive, manufacturing, or similarly complex global environments is valued but not necessary. Candidates should be comfortable operating across regions, influencing senior stakeholders, and working at the intersection of innovation, engineering discipline, and business value creation.
What your background should look like:
* 7+ years leading enterprise architecture, digital platforms, data, in global, matrixed organizations
* Proven experience in AI architecture, cloud/data platform design, or enterprise solution architecture
* Experience defining technical standards and guardrails for emerging technologies in complex environments
* Experience enabling rapid experimentation and PoCs while maintaining enterprise discipline
* Strong background in architecture, integration, data platforms, APIs, security, and scalable technology delivery
* Experience in regulated, industrial, automotive, manufacturing, or similarly complex businesses strongly preferred
* Demonstrated success partnering across architecture, engineering, data, security, and business teams to deliver scalable solutions
