The Country Medical Director Germany will be responsible for the development and execution of the German medical affairs strategy and programs that support the successful commercialization of current and future Jazz Pharmaceuticals products.
As a strategic partner to the General Manager (GM), the incumbent will lead the German Medical Affairs department and serve as the primary medical representative to internal stakeholders and external audiences.
The Country Medical Director will be a key member of the German core leadership team and contribute to regional and global medical initiatives, ensuring alignment with Jazz's values and enterprise goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver the Medical Affairs strategy and country plans in alignment with business and regional objectives.
* Lead the German Medical Affairs department and provide coaching and mentorship to Medical Affairs personnel.
* Establish and maintain effective performance management practices, ensuring clear expectations and continuous constructive feedback.
* Ensure compliance with applicable German laws and regulations, as well as Jazz Pharmaceuticals' Code of Conduct.
* Collaborate closely with Commercial teams to ensure strategic alignment and scientific support for business objectives.
* Drive strategic oncology medical affairs and field excellence in Germany.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
* At least 10 years' experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry.
* Proven track record of building and leading high-performing Medical Affairs teams.
* Experience launching new products, including market shaping and launch readiness activities.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence across all levels internally and externally.
* Excellent communication skills, including clear and confident presentation skills for internal and external audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in haematology/oncology and neuroscience is a distinct advantage.
* Rare disease expertise is desirable.
