We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join our research team in the field of neurology.
The successful applicant will be part of an interdisciplinary team focusing on motor control mechanisms and will have the opportunity to conduct research on spontaneous functional recovery after stroke in a mouse model, combining behavioral data and tissue analyses.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and execute laboratory experiments, analyze and visualize research data, and present findings through publications and presentations.
* Develop and test hypotheses through new experiments, including cellular and molecular studies and neuromodulation techniques like optogenetics.
* Collaborate with colleagues to plan, organize, and execute research projects.
Requirements
* A Master's degree in Neuroscience, Biology, or a related field.
* Strong interest in neurological questions, with experience in animal handling, tissue analysis techniques (qPCR, histology), and a good command of English and German.
* Proficiency in MS Office and excellent teamwork, organized, and meticulous working style.
