The ABOUT YOU LAYBELS team creates ABOUT YOU’s exclusive celebrity collections and are responsible for the holistic development and scaling of the brands; from the initial collaboration idea and product design to developing the brands strategy and marketing. We work with some of the most famous and successful artists and celebrities, such as Lena Gercke, Marina Hoermanseder, Kevin Trapp and Lorena Rae and we are continuously expanding our portfolio of successful celebrity collections.
We are looking for a Senior Designer & Art Director (m/f/d) to shape and elevate the visual identity of our brands across fashion, digital, and experiential touchpoints. This role is ideal for someone with a strong creative vision, deep understanding of fashion aesthetics, and the ability to translate brand DNA into compelling visuals; from product details to full-scale campaigns and events.
You will play a key role in defining and executing creative direction, working across multiple projects that span brand design, campaigns, and events. Depending on your seniority and experience, you will take on a high level of ownership and autonomy, helping guide both strategy and execution.
Responsibilities
Brand Design & Creative Identity
* Develop and execute brand identities (CI), including logo design and full visual brand guidelines.
* Ensure designs are adaptable across:
o Fashion collections
o E-commerce and digital platforms
o Social media
o Print and physical assets
* Maintain and evolve consistent brand standards across all touchpoints
Brand & Campaign Development
* Conceptualize and develop brand look & feel and seasonal visual directions
* Lead and execute creative campaigns, from ideation to production and post production
* Art direct shoots, including styling references, mood boards, and on-set direction
* Collaborate closely with internal teams and external creatives (producers, photographers, stylists, etc.)
Event Design & Creative Direction
* Create visual concepts and CI for our ABOUT YOU events, including fashion shows and branded experiences.
* Translate thematic ideas into cohesive, immersive visual environments
* Oversee design execution across physical and digital event assets
Creative Strategy & Brand Direction
* Develop a strong understanding of each brand’s DNA, positioning, and audience
* Contribute to and help define visual strategy and long-term creative direction
* Stay ahead of trends in fashion, design, and culture, bringing fresh and relevant perspectives
Requirements
* 5+ years of experience in design and art direction, ideally within fashion, lifestyle, or creative agencies/studios
* Strong portfolio demonstrating:
o Brand identity and logo design
o Campaign and art direction work
o Experience across digital, print, and product applications
* Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
* Hands-on experience with creative AI tools (e.g., image generation, editing, ideation)
* Excellent visual taste and a deep understanding of fashion aesthetics and trends
* Ability to think conceptually and execute at a high level of craft
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
Nice to Have
* Experience working with social media platforms (especially Instagram and TikTok) and understanding of digital-first storytelling
* Skills in video editing, motion design, or photography
* Experience working with or directing talent/influencers
