Our subsidiary, Hogrefe Digital Solutions GmbH, develops the Hogrefe Test System (HTS), a web platform for comprehensive psychological online assessments. We are looking for a full-time Fullstack Software Engineer (m/f/d) to strengthen our custom content team. Supporting the team mission of bringing online psychological assessments to our HTS platform.
What will you be doing?
You develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java, including RESTful web services, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot
You design and implement frontend solutions using JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks like React.js, Vue.js, and Angular
You modernize legacy Java applications to improve performance and scalability
You collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems and deliver high-quality software
You communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure project success
Who are you?
Required Skills and Experience
Java Development: At least 3 years of experience developing Java applications, including modernizing legacy systems
Frontend Development: Strong background delivering customer-centric results with current frontend frameworks
Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Communication: Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Exceptional Qualifications
Psychological Testing: Experience in developing psychological tests or a background in psychology, providing valuable insights into the creation of assessment tools
Test Driven Development (TDD): Proficiency in TDD using modern testing tools such as Playwright, ensuring high-quality and reliable software
Cross-Platform Development: Experience building applications across multiple platforms using web technologies (e.g., web, mobile, and desktop), enhancing the versatility of our software
XML Expertise: Familiarity with XML documents and XML schemas, crucial for handling data in our assessment tools
Clean Architecture: Familiarity with clean architecture patterns and a passion for discussing and implementing them, contributing to robust and maintainable software design
