We are looking for a dedicated Electrical Engineering Development Engineer (m/f/d) for an internationally operating and well-known defense company in Kassel. In this position you will develop complex electronic training devices and systems for military and civilian applications. We are looking for engineers (m/f/d) or technicians (m/f/d) with a real "doer mentality", who ideally come from the field of special vehicles, commercial vehicles, agricultural machinery (tractors) or the defense industry.

Your tasks
9. System development: Design and development of electronic devices and training systems for the military and civilian sectors.
10. Requirements Engineering: Technical assessment and analysis of functional requirements and preparation of specifications, requirement specifications and technical reports.
11. E-CAD & Construction: Creation of electrical and wiring diagrams as well as construction parts lists.
12. Hardware & control cabinet construction: Development and production support for electrical components and assemblies, including control cabinet planning.
13. Product maintenance: Technical system support for new developments and maintenance of existing systems.
14. Interface function: Interdisciplinary cooperation in international project teams, technical support for specialist departments and ensuring standards, deadlines and costs.
Your profile
15. Qualifications: Successfully completed studies in electrical engineering. Alternatively, we also give candidates (m/f/d) without a degree, but with relevant training and many years of professional experience in hardware development, a chance.
16. Industry focus: Experience in the field of commercial vehicles, tractors, defense or special vehicles (please no pure car/automotive environment). Experience in a military environment is a definite plus.
17. Tech stack: * Sound knowledge of digital, analog and high frequency technology.
Experience with bus systems, especially CAN bus and Profinet.
Routine use of E-CAD systems (preferably Engineering Base).
Know-how in control cabinet planning and design.
18. Soft skills: You have a dynamic, proactive and independent way of working and enjoy working in an international team.
19. Languages & Basics: Solid knowledge of English. As you will also be providing direct support in the production halls and on the systems, you will need to wear safety shoes (real hands-on environment).
