WHO MAY APPLY?

Current INTERNAL Local National Employees throughout Germany. This covers all current Local National employees of the U.S. Forces in Germany, including U.S. Air Force and AAFES-Europe within Germany.


Hauptaufgaben

Checks records on file to determine if previous offenses are recorded. Collects computes and compiles data on major and minor incidents for all individuals who have committed an offense or for whom an offense was committed against within the USAG Bavaria area of jurisdiction for reporting purposes. Identifies information which requires notification of the Family Advocacy Case Management Team, ASAP, Safety Office, Unit Commanders, Directorate of Public Works, or other organizations for which the information has relevance. Ensures completed police reports with identified subjects are forwarded and creates and manages the Directorate system to submit Commander's Action Reports (DA 4833). Utilizes available technology to track and ensure the receipt of DA Form 4833 from unit Commanders and conducts administrative closeout of MP reports (DA FM 3975, DA FM 4833, DM FM 190-1K) upon receipt of DA FM 4833 logging the results into the Army Law Enforcement Reporting and Tracking System (ALERTS). Receives requests from Commanders reference point assessments on licensing, vehicle registrations, as well as license revocations. Reviews and maintains accountability and dissemination of all Military police Reports, Military police Journals, Military police Blotters, Serious Incident Reports, Information Feeder Requests (IFRs), and Criminal Investigation Division reports. On occasion works with VERINET, (USAREUR Vehicle/Weapon Registrations computer to identify owner of license plates and weapons).

Prepares and types a variety of reports and forms such as delinquency, offense incidents, and accident reports. Receives visitors and telephone calls and makes telephone calls, obtains and provides information pertaining to the activities of the military police station. Uses automation tools to prepare correspondence and narrative/statistical administrative reports from handwritten drafts or recordings. Voice recordings involve the use of terminology common to military police work. Prints documents into final form in accordance with regulatory requirements. Utilizes reference sources such as technical dictionaries, correspondence regulations and automated spell check to ensure grammatical, spelling accuracy and proper arrangement of the final copy. Transmits, receives and acknowledges electronic mail and messages. Uses electronic/manual typewriter to type in final form a variety of office documents not formatted to automation. Provides copies of MP reports to individuals for insurance claims, and to the claims office at USAG Bavaria and USAREUR and to others for reasonable purposes in accordance with applicable directives and regulations. Maintains records for those requests and background checks. Assigns cases that need to be interpreted to the interpreters and is responsible for destroying expired case files. Serves as liaison with community concerning the status of military police reports.

Serves as the Directorate's primary Freedom of Information Act/Privacy Act (FOIA/PA) Officer. Receives requests, determines suitability of release of information, and ensures that only information is released IAW Privacy Act stipulations. Serves as the Directorate's time and attendance officer, responsible for the accurate tracking of Department of Army Civilians. Utilizing the Automated Time and Attendance Production System (ATAPPS) and the Defense Civilian Payroll System (DCPS), ensures time and payroll accurately reflects duty hours. Track requests for leave /sick time and input time and attendance in the approved army pay system. Advises and recommends to the Supervisory Police Liaison and Deputy Police Chief on general supply support for normal support and special needs material and equipment. Serves as Publications Control, Records Management and Forms Management Control Officer for the organization with responsibility for regulatory compliance. Ensures Directorate maintains compliance IAW with applicable regulations.

Performs other duties as assigned.

C-05:
E&T Level I: 2 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 1 year of experience as defined in B below.
Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of creditable experience as described in A below.

E&T Level II: 1 year of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 1 year of experience as defined in B below.

E&T Level III and above: No additional experience required.
Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade.

Experience A: Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc.

Experience B: Experience in the same or similar line of work as the job for which considered. The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required in the position. The predominant experience must have been gained at a comparable level of difficulty to the position to be filled.



• Office automation skills are required.

• Applicants must be in possession of a German driver's license class B.



LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL:
English AND German Language Proficiency level C1 required.

• The incumbent of this position is occasionally required to perform TDY (Temporary Duty Travel).
