Senior Engineer, Analog Design Engineering

The Power Solutions Group (PSG), part of the Industrial Business Unit, is dedicated to the development of best-in-class power management products. The PSG portfolio includes a broad range of technologies such as monolithic synchronous buck regulators, PMICs, ultra-low-noise and high-PSRR LDOs, as well as boost and buck-boost converters.

The Position:
The PSG group is seeking an experienced Analog Design Engineer for our office in Ismaning to work on the development of new product solutions and/or expansion of existing product families from the PSG portfolio for industrial applications.
Responsibilities:
1. Working within our PSG engineering teams based in our Munich (Germany) and San Jose (USA) sites.
2. IC block design, transistor-level circuit design and simulation.
3. Conducting technical presentations to ADI’s internal engineering team and customers.
4. Using recommended design and verification techniques, tools & flows to produce efficient designs which meet all specified functional, power and timing objectives.
5. Supporting other job functions such as layout, lab evaluation and test to ensure successful delivery meeting all requirements.
6. Continuing to improve analog design methodologies consistent with the group’s wider business objectives to reduce time and cost to market.
Requirements:
7. M.S. Electrical Engineering degree with 4+ years’ experience as an IC analog designer with focus on power products.
8. Track record of successful product development.
9. Candidates should have a good knowledge of analog and mixed signal electronics, tools and flows.
10. Design experience with mixed-signal circuits such as DACs and ADCs is an advantage.
11. Inter-personal, teamwork and communication skills are required.
12. The successful candidate will be expected to take a full cell or system ownership role and contribute to the development of new products from architecture selection to implementation and debug.
13. Experience of integrating analog blocks in complex Mixed-Signal systems would be an advantage.
14. Some limited travel should be expected.
