ABOUT US
At ACCURE, we empower batteries and those who use them.
Batteries are a cornerstone of the clean energy and mobility transition. At ACCURE, we make battery systems safer, more reliable, and more sustainable through the power of cloud-based analytics.
Our highly scalable monitoring and optimization platform helps operators of grid-scale energy storage systems and electric vehicles understand, operate, and protect their batteries - unlocking better performance, longer lifetime, and safer operation across assets around the world.
Our mission:
Safe, efficient, and sustainable batteries for a clean energy future.
To achieve this, we bring together passionate builders, technical experts, and clear thinkers. At ACCURE, people from diverse backgrounds work closely toward a shared goal. We value curiosity, ownership, and humility, and we’re looking for highly motivated individuals who want to make a real impact as part of a fast-growing, international team.
Your Role
* Turn field data into actionable insights: Go beyond plots and distributions: deliver decisions and recommendations that measurably improve the performance and revenues of battery energy storage systems (BESS).
* Battery intelligence into products: Bring your battery expertise into product development by shaping intelligent, data-driven features in our analytics platform. Your models and insights won’t stay in notebooks, they’ll ship as scalable software that delivers real value to customers.
* Work on hot topics in the industry: Push battery analytics forward by solving challenges like cell imbalance, augmentation planning, safety risk detection, and warranty claim analysis for globally operating customers.
* Teamwork and self-organized ownership: Collaborate with an experienced battery analytics team while taking significant responsibility from day one, leading feature development, setting roadmap priorities, driving quality goals, and customer releases.
Your Skills
* BESS expertise: Solid grounding in lithium-ion technology and system-level BESS architecture: packs/modules/racks/strings, BMS and PCS/inverters, EMS/SCADA, HVAC/thermal, contactors and safety systems. Comfortable with BMS signals and site telemetry, and with materials, degradation mechanisms, and estimation methods (e.g., SoH/SoC/SoP, RUL, impedance growth, thermal behavior).
* Software engineering fluency: Write clean, testable Python with version control (Git). Design reliable processing pipelines; implement and imrpove algorithms. Bonus: CI/CD, packaging, APIs.
* Data & visualization experience: Turn large, messy time-series into clear, decision-ready visuals. Detect outliers, drift, seasonality,; communicate uncertainty with appropriate intervals and metrics.
* Structured planning and follow-through: Define outcomes and constraints, write a brief plan with scope, milestones, owners, and acceptance criteria. Break work into manageable packages, commit to timelines, and execute with regular checkpoints. Adjust deliberately based on evidence, keep stakeholders aligned, and finish with tested delivery, documentation, and a short retrospective.
* Language skills: Fluent English required; German is a plus.
Our Offer
* Impact: Join a collaborative, growing start-up environment in a role that has a significant impact on all levels of our organization.
* Shape your role: Actively shape this role and its scope with us, depending on your expertise and preferences.
* Work-life-balance: Trust-based, flexible working hours, 30-day vacation entitlement.
* Carnival: We love carnival. That's why we're giving you Rose Monday as an extra day of holiday. ALAAF!
* Compensation: Performance-based compensation plan.
* Remote or office based: It’s your choice – either work from our lovely office in Aachen, choose a co-working space wherever you live or work from home (somewhere in Europe).
* Company events: Two 5-day company onsites per year
* Never stop learning: Personal development plan and budget that you can actively shape.
* A job that shapes the future and turns our planet greener one battery at a time.
