Key Responsibilities
On-Site OT / IT Support • Handle day-to-day OT/IT support requests on the plant floor • Perform first-line troubleshooting for operational and infrastructure-related issues • Support execution of routine operational tasks in line with site procedures and runbooks • Act as a local hands-on support resource for OT-related incidents and service activities
Connectivity and Network Troubleshooting
• Verify and troubleshoot communication between PCs, PLCs, HMIs, field devices, and other industrial assets • Check IP configuration, subnet assignments, routing basics, and switch connectivity • Use standard troubleshooting tools such as ping, tracert, and interface / port checks • Support basic firewall-related checks and network path validation where required
Hardware and Infrastructure Support
Work directly with industrial and IT hardware, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, switches, servers, and workstations • Support physical installation and connection of equipment on site
Run, patch, and verify Ethernet cabling across the production environment where needed • Assist with local file shares, backup checks, and general infrastructure validation
Application and System Support • Assist with the physical and basic software installation of IT/OT applications • Follow approved runbooks and standard operating procedures • Escalate complex application, configuration, or engineering issues to Tier 3 / specialist teams • Support system availability by validating that connected components remain operational and properly integrated
