For our European headquarters in Hamburg, we are currently seeking a Financial Accountant (m/f/d) to join our European Finance team at the earliest possible date.
In this role, you will support the accurate, timely, and compliant accounting and reporting activities of our European entities. You will work closely with international finance teams, external advisors, and our Shared Service Center, while actively contributing to the continuous improvement and optimization of accounting processes.

Financial Accounting & Closing
Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB) and assist with US GAAP reporting requirements.
Support group-wide consolidation and financial reporting processes.
Prepare and support VAT filings and other statutory reports, including Intrastat and EC Sales Lists.
Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and accounting standards.
Maintain and further develop accounting policies, chart of accounts, and closing procedures.
Support internal and external audit activities.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems.
Maintain relevant SAP master data and accounting structures in coordination with international Finance teams.
Support automation and process efficiency initiatives.
Work closely with our Shared Service Center on day-to-day accounting activities.
Provide guidance, coordination, and quality oversight for outsourced accounting processes.
Completed commercial training/apprenticeship with a focus on accounting, finance, or taxation, or a university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Previous experience in financial accounting is advantageous
Professional qualification such as Certified Accountant ( Bilanzbuchhalter IHK ) or a comparable certification is advantageous.
Good knowledge of German GAAP (HGB); Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent written and spoken German and English language skills.
