About the Role - Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for supply chain excellence? Join their team as a Procurement/Purchasing Manager and play a key role in driving their manufacturing success, developing a brand new team and supporting the sales process. Our client is looking for a motivated professional to manage suppliers, optimise costs, and ensure seamless project execution.
Responsibilities
* Purchase critical materials to support sales cost estimation and project delivery.
* Establish and maintain accurate inventory levels for production needs.
* Provide costing insights to Sales and Applications Engineering teams.
* Monitor vendor performance to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with customer commitments.
* Maintain a cost history database and develop tools to streamline the sales proposal process.
* Manage supplier relationships, including qualification, change orders, and dispute resolution.
* Analyse market trends to anticipate material availability and cost shifts.
* Collaborate with Project Managers and Quality teams to align payments and supplier standards.
Qualifications - You must have at least 5 years of procurement / purchasing experience, ideally within manufacturing / Industrial environments
Required Skills
* You’re skilled in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
* You are able to work autonomously, making key decisions on a daily basis
* You have a strong grasp of economics, accounting, and commercial contracts, with a knack for numbers and critical thinking.
* Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and global supply chains.
* Fluency in German and English is required.
