Aufgaben der Stelle
- Develop and integrate cabin interior system solutions to ensure seating products meet defined interfaces with aircraft structures, systems, monuments, and cabin layouts across programs;
- Define, analyze, and validate design requirements and installation concepts using analysis and test results to meet aircraft level performance, safety, and certification requirements;
- Evaluate supplier technical data and design solutions (e.g., seat envelope drawings, installation limitations and constraints, and interface definitions) and provide recommendations for robust, producible integration;
- Coordinate technical activities across engineering, suppliers, and production to resolve integration and interface issues that affect delivery, implementation of modifications, and program milestones;
- Support continuous improvement of integration methods, tools, and best practices and apply these improvements in production and postproduction modification environments.
In this role you will (level 4 - Senior):
- Lead the integration of cabin interior systems, ensuring seating products are fully compatible with aircraft structures, systems, monuments, and cabin interfaces across multiple Boeing programs;
- Own design requirements, validation, and verification strategy, integrating analytical and test results to ensure compliance with aircraft-level performance, safety, and certification requirements;
- Provide technical authority in supplier evaluation and design approval, reviewing complex technical data (e.g.seat envelopes, installation constraints, substantiation approaches) to ensure robust, compliant, and producible integration solutions;
- Drive cross-functional alignment and resolve complex integration issues, acting as the primary technical focal across engineering disciplines, suppliers, certification specialists, and production stakeholders to protect delivery and program milestones;
- Lead development of integration strategies, standards, and best practices, including assessment of feasibility, risks, and implementation approaches for both production and post-production modifications.
What you bring to the table:
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences).
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Level 3 (Experienced):
- 5+ years of experience in Aerospace industry, including design, integration, and/or certification or equivalent combination of additional education and relevant experience;
- Experience: You have 5+ years of experience within a Design or Production Organization (EASA or FAA approved). Current or recent appointment as a Design Review or Verification Engineer (DVE/DRE) with terms of approval relevant to interior (payloads) discipline is preferable;
- Knowledge: You can demonstrate experience with aircraft interior design/modification programs with a high level of attention to detail. You have knowledge of airworthiness requirements, e.g. CS/FAR25, ETSO/TSO;
- Collaboration: You have 5+ years of experience in leading complex projects (development and execution of schedule milestones, financial assessments, resource assessments, risk and/or issues management, etc.) including influencing team members and stakeholders (suppliers, customers, solution providers) involved and are willing to help develop, mentor and coach less experienced staff;
- Tools: You can demonstrate expertise with navigating OEM data systems for specifications and standards and have worked with our most important tools: Catia V5/V6, ENOVIA, IVT, AutoCAD;
- Personality: You are a principled, reliable professional who values integrity, safety and accountability, always striving for the highest standards of quality and ethical conduct. Inclusive and collaborative by nature, you communicate transparently, respect diverse perspectives and take ownership to drive results the right way;
- Flexibility: You are comfortable with a variable work statement. Our Stakeholders are located around the globe; this can require you to be flexible to support meetings to cover different time zones.
