Your Job:
1. Create confined electronic systems, based on state-of-the-art thin film technologies and subsequent delamination of atomically defined oxides.
2. Master the transfer process for heteroepitaxial systems
3. Develop strategies to compensate internal stress and mechanical deformation.
4. Explore the spatial and vertical confinement of ionic and electronic charge carriers and their scattering behavior on crystal defects.
5. Perform active research on the materials synthesis, characterization, and device fabrication.
6. Receive individual trainings to learn state-of-the-art methodology, comprising pulsed laser deposition (PLD), atomic force microscopy (AFM), advanced X-ray diffraction (XRD), and transport measurements (Hall effect and magneto-transport at low temperature).

Your Profile:
7. Completed qualification to enroll for the Master thesis in Physics or Materials Sciences, with a good track record
8. Willingness to familiarise yourself with new methods or new scientific challenges
9. Interest in issues about nanoelectronics and novel phenomena.
10. Previous knowledge in materials synthesis, thin film characterization, or electrical characterization in desirable
11. Fluent knowledge of written and spoken English
12. High degree of motivation and reliability and analytical working style
13. Excellent ability to cooperate and work in a team
