Job Description

As a Solution Architect (m/f/d) in infrastructure and outsourcing projects, you will work hand in hand with our IT outsourcing specialists. You will assess, investigate and analyze business and technical requirements in order to develop technology strategies and roadmaps for our customers that are in line with the target architecture. In this position, you will be part of our Global Technology Operations (GTO) service organization, which offers a comprehensive portfolio of digital workspaces, cloud services and much more to support our customers in their digital transformation.
Tasks:
* Together with our IT outsourcing specialists, you will create comprehensive outsourcing concepts for IT infrastructures as well as communication and network solutions for our customers.
* In addition, you will provide support with tenders/RfP and, as an architect, you will be responsible for the technical concept during the entire bidding process.
* You have an overview of your customer's IT landscape. You understand the big picture and can use this knowledge to design new architectures, including in detail.
* You develop, maintain and test architecture strategies and technical roadmaps.
* You ensure that implementation and rollout strategies for functions are optimally aligned to ensure the balance between delivery and risk.
* You will manage the overall technology currency, lifecycle and health of our portfolio and develop templates to inform investment decisions
Qualifications:
* You have a degree, preferably in computer science, or a corresponding apprenticeship.
* You have relevant professional experience in solution design or outsourcing.
* You have experience in creating complex architectures with a focus on infrastructure as well as high availability scenarios and virtualization techniques.
* You are fluent in German and English, both orally and in writing.
* You have sound knowledge in these areas:
o Standard operating systems (Windows, UNIX and Linux)
o Standard databases, in particular Oracle and MS SQL
o Standard business applications, e.g. SAP - LAN/WAN and Internet concepts
o IT service management and the ITIL process model
o Modern project management and project leadership
o Also desirable would be:
o Experience in the development and maintenance of IT service catalogs
o Experience in calculating and preparing quotations for IT services
