Head of Supply Chain (f/m/d)
Position Type: Full-time, Planning, Sourcing, Compliance and Risk Mitigation, Leadership and Management
Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute the global supply chain strategy across multiple studies and phases to enable drug development, balancing agility, cost-efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
2. Establish supply chain infrastructure and operations supporting clinical development to commercial readiness.
3. Manage procurement, planning, logistics, and vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
4. Drive operational excellence through KPI tracking, scenario planning, and process improvements.
5. Coordinate demand planning, clinical supply management, and vendor negotiations.
6. Support regulatory submissions and inspections, ensuring compliance with FDA, EMA, and other standards.
7. Oversee quality documentation and SOP development for cGxP compliance.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Clinical Ops, QA, Regulatory, and Finance.
9. Build and lead a high-performing supply chain team as the company grows.
10. Manage budgets and contracts.
Candidate Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
* 10+ years of supply chain experience in biotech/pharma, including leadership roles in clinical and commercial stages.
* Expertise in clinical supply operations and global regulatory standards.
* Experience with comparator sourcing, cold chain, and international labeling requirements.
* Strong strategic planning, project management, and vendor management skills.
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
* Willingness to travel as needed.
