Your Responsibilities:
7. Lead the modeling and simulation of hybrid and electric propulsion systems using a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodology
8. Define and develop system architecture sizing models using Python to establish the foundational framework
9. Improve and further develop the simulation methodology and tools landscape to ensure a robust and efficient workflow
10. Lead the development of a modular simulation platform at the drive system level, ensuring seamless interaction with other systems (e.g., flight mechanics, controls, and communication)
11. Develop and integrate simulation models for specific subsystem-level analyses (e.g., eMotor, MCU, Batteries, Thermal Management System), incorporating both in-house and supplier models and create surrogate models as needed
12. Create and maintain subsystem modules in MATLAB / Simulink / Simscape
13. Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of the various simulation platforms using real-world test data
14. Perform Validation and Verification (V&V) of all simulation models to ensure accuracy and reliability
15. Ensure complete documentation of all model validation activities
Your Profile:
16. Completed studies in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or comparable
17. Several years of professional experience in Engineering
18. Experience in modeling and simulation
19. Experience with version control and project management toll like Git and Kanban is desirable
20. Knowledge about fuel cell systems
21. Knowledge about aircraft propulsion systems, electric motors and batteries is an advantage
22. Very good skills in Python and Matlab
23. Skills with simulation tools like Simulink / Simscape, Amesim, CFTurbo and STAR-CCM+ is desirable
24. Fluent English skills spoken and written
25. German, French or Spanish skills wold be a plus
