Head of Sales & Business Development – TPE Compounds (m/f/d)
The Role
M.A.K. Germany has established a new manufacturing subsidiary for high-performance TPE compounds and masterbatches, operating a modern production facility in the Sohar Freezone, Oman. To support the commercial development of this business, we are looking for an experienced Sales & Business Development Manager who will gradually build international customer relationships and develop sustainable sales activities across Europe and the United States. This position combines strategic market development with hands‑on sales work and close coordination with production and management.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and expand international sales activities for TPE compounds and masterbatches
* Identify and approach suitable customers, distributors, and partners in target markets
* Manage key accounts and establish long‑term customer relationships
* Act as the commercial interface between customers, production in Oman (> 10,000 t/a capacity), and the Hamburg head office
* Prepare offers, support pricing discussions, and participate in contract negotiations
* Monitor market developments, applications, and customer requirements
* Support product positioning and portfolio development based on market feedback
* Represent the company at customer meetings, trade fairs, and industry events
Your Profile
* Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification
* Several years of experience in B2B sales or business development within polymers, TPEs, or compounds
* Good understanding of polymer processing and compounding
* Existing industry contacts with processors, OEMs, or distributors are an advantage
* Structured, reliable, and commercially minded working style
* Ability to work independently in an evolving organisational environment
* Fluent English required; German is a plus
* Willingness to travel internationally as required
