Job purpose
Senior enterprise leader responsible for establishing and scaling the Data Center Logistics Center of Excellence, reporting to the Data Center Logistics Taskforce, and governing execution of one of the Group’s highest-growth, mission-critical sectors. Anchored in the Voice of the Customer, the role ensures customer needs, deployment realities, and experience insights are embedded into strategy, operating models, and execution in line with Strategy 2030 priorities of focused growth, customer centricity, and differentiated value creation.
Leads the ambition to position DHL as the undisputed leader in Data Center Logistics by orchestrating the full capability, scale, and speed of the DHL Group into a single, integrated end-to-end value proposition. Operating cross-business-unit across DHL Global Forwarding, DHL Express, DHL Supply Chain, and CSI Commercial, the role connects air, ocean, warehousing, White Glove, and adjacent value-added services into seamless solutions for hyperscalers, colocation providers, and enterprise data center customers.
Principal accountabilities
* Enterprise COE & Governance Leadership
Establishes and leads the Data Center Logistics COE, defining governance structures, decision rights, escalation models, and operating cadence across DHL Global Forwarding, DHL Express, DHL Supply Chain, and CSI-linked teams.
* Strategy Orchestration & Execution
Translates Taskforce and Strategy 2030 priorities into clear, integrated roadmaps, initiatives, and execution plans with defined outcomes.
* Cross-Business Integration
Aligns commercial, operational, engineering, product, IT, and regional leadership across business units to deliver one coordinated data center logistics ecosystem.
* Establish and maintain enterprise governance frameworks, including RACI, decision forums, escalation paths, and execution cadence.
* Own end-to-end sector reporting, including strategy progress, performance metrics, capability maturity, risks, and interdependencies.
* Prepare and deliver executive and Board-level updates with clear insights and recommendations.
* Coordinate cross-BU initiatives to avoid duplication, resolve conflicts, and ensure a seamless customer experience.
* Integrate Voice of the Customer insights into sector strategy, operating models, and continuous improvement.
* Enable scalable execution through COE tools, templates, playbooks, certification standards, and ways of working.
* Act as a neutral enterprise integrator, balancing BU priorities with overall Group value creation.
* White Glove Capability Development (Cross-Pillar)
Designs, governs, and scales a White Glove, business-unit-agnostic capability covering handling standards, security, site protocols, talent certification, SLAs, and premium customer experience.
* Board-Level Reporting & Executive Insight
Owns consolidated, cross-BU reporting for the Data Center Logistics sector, providing concise, data-driven insights, progress updates, and risk transparency to executive leadership and the Board.
* Performance Management & Value Tracking
Defines KPIs and success metrics across commercial growth, operational performance, customer experience, and financial value creation.
* Program & Portfolio Management
Oversees the full portfolio of data center initiatives, ensuring prioritization, sequencing, dependency management, and resource alignment.
* Standardization & Best-Practice Scaling
Identifies, codifies, and scales best practices, playbooks, reference architectures, and operating standards across regions and business units.
* Stakeholder & Change Leadership
Drives adoption through structured change management, senior stakeholder engagement, and disciplined communication in a complex matrix environment.
* Delivers one integrated, cross-BU Data Center Logistics capability aligned to Strategy 2030.
* Establishes DHL as the undisputed leader in Data Center Logistics through coordinated execution and differentiated White Glove service.
* Accelerates Taskforce execution through disciplined governance and orchestration.
* Provides transparency, confidence, and decision support to executive leadership and the Board.
* Reduces execution risk while enabling scalable, repeatable growth.
* Positions DHL as a strategic, enterprise-level partner for hyperscalers, colocation providers, and enterprise data center customers.

* 12–18+ years in logistics, supply chain, infrastructure, or complex enterprise environments.
* Proven experience operating in a matrix, multi-business-unit organization, ideally spanning Global Forwarding, Express, and Supply Chain.
* Strong understanding of data center logistics, mission-critical infrastructure, or adjacent technology-driven sectors.
* Demonstrated success leading Centers of Excellence, governance models, or large cross-enterprise transformation initiatives.
* Experience designing and scaling premium, standardized service offerings (e.g., White Glove, mission-critical services).
* Strong track record preparing and presenting executive- and Board-level materials.
* High credibility working with senior commercial, operational, and technical leaders.
