Job Purpose / Role
The team of AIM Investment Management Life/Health Germany in Stuttgart is responsible for the investment strategy of the German Life and Health insurance portfolios at Allianz. As part of the investment management team, you will work together with our colleagues within the global AIM network as well as our internal and external asset managers.
Your main responsibilities involve financial analyses, reporting and refining analytical tools and processes that enhance data quality for an informed investment decision-making. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an investment team managing a global portfolio of EUR 300bn+ with plenty of opportunities to learn and develop.
Key Responsibilities
* Enhance existing analysis tools, automate data-driven processes and improve their resilience (in Excel and PowerBI)
* Conduct portfolio performance analyses and commentary for Allianz Leben and private markets product offering
* Prepare product-specific data reports and enhance product databases (e.g. regions, currencies, sectors, strategies)
* Compile monthly portfolio investment reports for Allianz Leben (e.g. asset allocation, transactions, yield analysis, limit compliance, risk figures)
* Provide analytical input for meetings and board presentations as well as ad hoc analyses such as counterfactuals and what-if scenario analysis
* Collaborate closely with global and local teams across departments (such as Planning, Risk, Accounting and data providers)
Key Requirements/skills/experience
* Master's degree in finance, economics, financial mathematics, finance-related data science or other quantitative areas
* 3+ years experience in insurance company, banking or finance area
* Experience in financial reporting, asset management, or performance analysis; knowhow of fundamentals in finance, accounting (IFRS9) and investment instruments (derivatives is a plus)
* Strong Excel skills - SQL and PowerBI experience favorable
* Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
* Ability to work collaboratively with different departments, with a strong sense of ownership, a passion for data, and a results-driven mindset
