Job Title:
An exciting opportunity exists for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Scholar in Residence. As a key member of our Machinery and Plant Engineering business unit, you will be responsible for driving the conception, design, and costing of special projects.
Responsibilities:
* Project Initiation and Implementation: You will independently initiate and implement projects from conceptual design to production and commissioning.
* Customer Communication: Intensive communication with customers, national sales, purchasing, construction, and manufacturing teams is crucial to ensure successful project delivery.
* Design Development: Creation of initial designs up to detailed construction is an essential aspect of this role.
* Process Management: Manage and assist with standardization of items, assemblies, databases, and processes to drive efficiency and productivity.
Requirements:
* A successfully completed degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is mandatory.
* Relevant professional experience in project management and mechanical engineering is preferred.
* Excellent German and English skills are required for effective communication.
* A willingness to travel and hands-on mentality are necessary for success in this role.
* CAD knowledge and ERP system proficiency are desired but not mandatory.
