Software Engineer - Flight Safety (m/f/d)
Our Flight Safety team is searching for a motivated software engineer to support the integration of our Fight safety analysis in the computation of risk for population and assets on earth with the computations of risks to assets in space. Your Tasks
1. Develop tools that allow for frequent and dependable software deployment, test execution, and data analysis as components of a continuous integration and release system
2. Develop highly reliable and available software systems for quantifying risks
3. Provide analytical support for the implementation of operational mitigation measures (exclusions, launch window, flight termination, etc...)
4. Review existing tools and processes and drive more efficient or more reliable approaches
5. Build and maintain software systems that interacts with other departments
6. Pre-process, analyses and post-process complex simulations
Your Qualifications
7. Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, aerospace engineering or related discipline
8. 4+ years of Demonstrated development experience in C, C++, or Python and Python-based development frameworks and data analysis libraries through professional or extracurricular activities
9. Strong competency in software development practices including docker, testing and continuous integration (CI/CD)
10. Experience in any of the following: orbital mechanics, flight dynamics, classical dynamics, mathematical modeling or flight safety analysis
11. Experience with high performance computing systems or large-scale data analysis systems
12. Experience with developing within Linux server environments, SSH, scripting, and configuration is a plus
13. Fluent English oral and written (all day-to-day activities are performed in English)
