Senior Regional Manager - IPP - Onshore Wind - Project Development - Regensburg

The Company
A global leader in renewable energy that develops, builds and operates offshore / onshore wind, solar PV, BESS and Hydrogen. A leading IPP in Germany with over 200 employees in the region and 2GW+ of onshore wind installed in the Germany. 8GW of new onshore wind projects have been approved in the first half of 2025.
The Role
* Lead an established office of 5+ experienced project developers for onshore wind.
* Regional management for acquisition and permitting.
* 50% team leadership, 50% defining and executing strategy.
* Manage the full lifecycle of wind projects from site identification through to late-stage development.
* Interface with municipalities, regulatory authorities, and key stakeholders.
* Drive complex permitting processes under the BImSchG framework.
* Reporting into the Head of Project Development.
The Person
* Minimum 3 years of experience in onshore wind project development in Germany.
* Previous leadership or team management experience is essential.
* Proven experience with BImSchG permitting and land acquisition processes.
* Willing to travel regionally.
* 3-4x per week in the office.
* Strong knowledge of local regulatory and environmental frameworks.
* Fluent in German, English is preferred but not essential.
