Position title: SAP iXp Intern (f/m/d) - Full Stack Cloud Native Software Developer
Location: St. Leon Rot, Germany
Earliest start date: February 01, 2026
Internship duration: 6 months fulltime internship
As a Full Stack Cloud Native Development Intern, you’ll contribute to the design and development of central cloud infrastructure and highly scalable cloud provisioning solutions using a test-driven methodology and cutting-edge cloud-native tooling. You’ll work together closely with international colleagues in a collaborative environment.
1. In this role you’ll develop Kubernetes operators in Golang and Node.js ES6 based microservices and frontend applications deployed on Kubernetes
2. Learn or solidify skills in Golang and JavaScript/TypeScript programming
3. Learn about Kubernetes and cutting-edge cloud-native tooling
4. Develop and implement functionalities to ensure secure cloud operations
5. Gain new skills in CI/CD pipelines and quality management
6. Perform agile prototyping to evaluate and select the best solution for each task
7. Work closely with team members. We encourage pair programming for effective collaboration and knowledge sharing
What You’ll Bring
8. Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences with very good academic achievement
9. Preferred fields of study: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines
10. Knowledge of software development in at least one modern programming language (Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript or Golang is a plus)
11. Experience with version control systems, specifically Git, and familiarity with GitHub or similar platforms for collaborative coding
12. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in an international team. Proficient in both written and spoken English
13. Strong analytical skills combined with the ability to work on complex topics and drive their realization
14. Good team player. You enjoy collaborating with others and are comfortable participating in code reviews and pair programming
15. Eager to learn about Golang/ Node.js and state of the art open-source cloud native Kubernetes tools
16. “Can do” attitude and keen on mastering the full stack, from UI to backend, including Continuous Delivery & Continuous Integration

Our team consists of experienced cloud-native development experts who drive the design, development, and productization of a unified cloud native provisioning solution. We work closely across disciplines in a highly collaborative environment that values everyone’s ideas—pair programming is a core practice to share knowledge and solve problems together. You’ll work with cutting edge cloud native technologies at the forefront of SAP’s cloud transformation. You’ll own your projects end-to-end and grow fast through hands on experience and dedicated mentorship.
