With a strong track record in digital transformation and banking innovation, the client is expanding its European presence and seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth in the DACH region.
The Opportunity
This is a senior-level business development role focused on acquiring new clients for the company’s core banking product suite. The position will cover Tier 1 and Tier 2 financial institutions across Germany, with potential scope to support activity in nearby markets such as Austria and Sweden. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a high-quality pipeline, closing large enterprise deals, and establishing strategic relationships with senior banking stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Drive new business sales for core banking software solutions within the DACH region
Identify, engage, and convert opportunities with Tier 1 and Tier 2 banks
Lead end-to-end sales cycles, from prospecting to deal closure (typical deal size €2M–€5M)
Develop a deep understanding of client needs and position value-led solutions accordingly
Build long-term relationships with C-level stakeholders and decision-makers
Maintain accurate sales pipeline and reporting, collaborating closely with delivery and pre-sales teams
Ideal Candidate Profile
10–15 years of experience in enterprise software sales, with a strong focus on banking or financial services
Proven success in selling core banking or digital banking solutions to financial institutions in Germany
Strong commercial acumen and deal-closing experience with high-value enterprise contracts
Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders (CIOs, Heads of Digital, etc.)
Established network within German-speaking financial services markets
Fluent in German with professional proficiency in English
Self-starter with a proactive, results-driven mindset and strong communication skills
