The Position at XU:
At XU, we are not producing employees – we create explorers. We are seeking a scholar-practitioner to address the human dimension of digital transformation. You will teach future leaders how to navigate culture, ethics, and organizational change in a tech-driven world. Within our applied, interactive AI-core learning framework, you will focus on human-centric sustainable leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
You will assume duties in teaching, research, and academic self-administration in accordance with § 42 and § 43 BbgHG.
* Teaching & Student Supervision: Teaching modules in the study program in classroom, blended, and online formats. This includes module responsibility, examination acceptance, and student supervision.
* Program Development: Active participation in the further development of study programs, quality assurance, and accreditation procedures. This involves the conception, creation, and adaptation of teaching and learning materials.
* Research & Transfer: Development of a distinct personal research profile and publication of results. You will initiate, expand, and maintain cooperation with partners in industry and research.
* Administration: Active participation in academic administration, committee work, and student recruitment events.

Your profile
Your Profile & Research Focus:
While a broad understanding of the field is expected, we seek a candidate who can deepen at least one of the following core areas:
* Digital Leadership: Leading in agile, hybrid, and remote environments.
* Digital Ethics: Value-based leadership, philosophy of technology, and corporate responsibility.
* Culture & New Work: Ecosystem and Organizational development, future of work, and competence shifts.
* Change Management: Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum) as a cultural practice.
Requirements (§ 43 BbgHG):
* Completed university degree and a PhD (magna cum laude or equivalent) in social sciences, psychology, or management.
* Pedagogical aptitude for teaching in English.
* Minimum of 3 years professional experience, of which at least 2 years were spent outside the university sector.
* Relevant practical experience in HR, organizational development, consulting, or management (Software development experience is not required).
* Experience in acquiring third-party funding is considered an asset.
