Overview

The Country Manager (f/m/d) Patient Care Solutions (PCS) Germany will be a member of the International PCS team and the Senior Leadership Team DACH.


Responsibilities

* People Leadership & Growth
o Foster a culture where people flourish—attracting top talent, unlocking potential through performance development, and shaping the next generation of leaders through intentional succession planning
o Lead, coach, and support a high-performing team to reach their full potential
o Retain and grow talent and continually develop a pipeline for critical positions in partnership with the HR team
* Strategic Engagement & Advisory
o Engage early with key stakeholders in public and private healthcare modernization programs
o Act as a senior advisor and coach to customer organizations, helping scope challenges and architect solutions using the PCS portfolio and a care-area approach
o Act as the GE HealthCare face toward C-level executives and collaborate closely with other business units
* Commercial Excellence
o Understand market and competitive dynamics to lead strategic discussions on product positioning and pricing
o Execute Value Creation and Care Area strategies tailored to local market needs
o Strengthen product management across segments, modalities, and channels
o Increase market visibility by driving systematic funnel management and growing commercial intensity; reinforce channel partner engagement and performance excellence
o Build strong relationships with key customers at strategic and clinical decision levels
o Expand partnerships with academic institutions, KOLs, and medical societies (e.g., Anesthesia, Cardiology)
o Partner with Marketing and Product Management to develop strategic KOL management programs and expand engagement with reference sites to drive customer satisfaction and state-of-the-art implementation of our clinical differentiation
o Collaborate with marketing to produce clinical evidence and strengthen strategic account relationships
o Ensure readiness for new product introductions (NPIs), including regulatory approvals, training, and system configurations
* Operational Excellence
o Lead operating reviews (monthly/weekly) and simplify operations through lean thinking, prioritizing well-defined KPIs in a continuous improvement mindset
o Manage inventory health, PSI projections, and demonstration efficiency
o Own performance metrics and implement countermeasures when needed
* Lifecycle & Service Management
o Drive franchise growth with commercial, product teams and channel partners with best-in-class installed base retention, including services and offerings
o Partner with service leadership to achieve service targets (e.g., capture rate) and co-lead the effort to upsell and grow lifecycle revenue
* Customer Success & Innovation
o Enable customer success through innovation, efficiency and transformation programs focused on patient safety, user experience, digital technology adoption, clinical differentiation, and workflow optimization
o Drive customer satisfaction and success through innovation and transformation programs
o Focus on patient safety, user experience, and digital technology adoption


Qualifications

* Education & Experience
o Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
o Significant progressive leadership experience in Business Management, Product Marketing/Development, or equivalent roles within the healthcare industry
o Profound direct experience in the healthcare sector, with deep understanding of market dynamics and customer needs
o Clear understanding in care areas integrated solutions (emergency, surgical & critical care) and clinical pathways
o Proven track record in sales, product management, and/or marketing—experience in high-tech capital equipment is a strong asset
* Leadership & Business Acumen
o Strong financial acumen and organizational planning capabilities
o Ability to think on the spot, respond quickly to challenges, and resolve complex solution pain points
o Skilled in project management, including the development and execution of complex, cross-functional plans
o Comfortable navigating ambiguity, with strong strategic agility, risk assessment, and results orientation
o Exemplary people management, people and customers centered leadership, including strong team building, coaching, talent growth and sales enablement
o Experience working, communicating and partnering with C-level executives in large healthcare organizations
o Strong interpersonal skills, with creativity, curiosity, and the ability to build rapport and foster collaboration
* Communication & Relationship Building
o Fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus
o Advanced negotiation, influencing, and problem-solving capabilities
o Proven ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Other Requirements
o Willingness and ability to travel on a regular basis in the region
o Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment with a customer-first mindset
