Job Description
A global industry leader is seeking an experienced HR Director to oversee cross-country HR operations across Europe. This hybrid role based in Düsseldorf combines strategic leadership with operational excellence, requiring strong knowledge of labour law, team development, and P&L-based HR decision-making across supply chain, manufacturing, IT, finance, and commercial functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic HR leadership and operational oversight across multiple European sites.
* Advise and support managers on workforce strategy, performance, and labour law matters.
* Lead negotiations and maintain strong partnerships with works councils.
* Oversee HR policies, business contracts, and ensure compliance with employment law.
* Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and monthly HR accounting.
* Direct recruitment processes and implement development programs across functions.
* Manage temporary staffing solutions and contract-based workforce requirements.
* Contribute to continuous improvement by using financial data (e.g. P&L) to drive HR initiatives.
Required Skills
* Completed university degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
* Proven progression and success in HR leadership roles across functions (e.g. manufacturing, logistics, IT, finance).
* Deep knowledge of European labour laws and co-determination frameworks.
* Experience in works council negotiation and stakeholder alignments
* Fluency in English and at least one other European language (German, French, Spanish, or Italian preferred).
* Strong leadership, team motivation, and change management skills.
* Financial literacy and ability to interpret P&L statements to inform HR strategy.
* Willingness to travel across European locations as needed.
