Legal Counsel - Data ProtectionLocation: MunichOur client is seeking a legal counsel to join its team, contributing to legal and compliance initiatives in data privacy. This role offers a dynamic, international environment with opportunities for professional growth and involvement in innovative projects across various functions.Key Responsibilities:Advise on data privacy matters, with a focus on employee and candidate data.Ensure compliance with GDPR and other applicable privacy regulations.Support implementation and maintenance of privacy operations (e.g., data inventories, privacy notices).Evaluate technologies and systems for privacy compliance.Draft and negotiate privacy-related contracts (e.g., DPAs, SCCs).Monitor regulatory developments and privacy trends.Assist in internal audits and action plan development.Develop and deliver privacy training to employees.Contribute to compliance process improvements and standardisation.Qualifications:Licensed lawyer in an EU jurisdiction with 5-7 years of relevant experience.Deep knowledge of GDPR and cross-border data transfer mechanisms.Experience in drafting and negotiating privacy agreements and policies.Hands-on experience with privacy frameworks, compliance audits, and working in cross-functional teams.CIPP/E or similar certification is a plus.Fluent in German and English (C2 level).Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.Benefits:Flexible working hours & remote work options.Health programs & employee support services.International work environment & career development opportunities.Additional holidays, on-site cafeteria, and parking.
