Hauptaufgaben
•Fire Prevention Administration: Directs the installation's comprehensive fire prevention program, manages hazard and risk assessments, and oversees the inspection and maintenance of all fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems.
•Training & Public Education: Manages public fire safety education and the installation-wide fire protection training mission, coordinates public relations with the Public Affairs Office, and maintains comprehensive training documentation.
•Engineering & Design Review: Reviews facility construction and renovation designs to ensure compliance with DoD, Army, UFC, NFPA, and host nation fire safety standards, and inspects structures prior to Army acceptance.
•Emergency Incident Support: Responds to emergency incidents in an on-scene technical support role, coordinates with host nation emergency services, and conducts technical fire investigations under AR 420-1 and AR 385-10.
•Dispatch Operations Management: Manages the Fire Alarm Control Center (FACC) as needed, directing emergency dispatchers, coordinating joint U.S. and host nation emergency responses, and monitoring equipment.
•Personnel Management: Assists the Fire Chief in managing branch personnel, which includes resolving employee conflicts, recommending hiring and promotions, and implementing training or minor disciplinary actions.
•Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifikationsanforderungen
•Office automation skills required.
C1-0081-6A:
•Incumbent must have a completed apprenticeship in a technical or business trade. (Abgeschlossene Lehre in einem technischen oder kaufmaennischen Beruf.)
•Incumbent must have successfully completed NFPA Fire Inspector II and NFPA Fire Instructor
•Incumbent must be able to obtain and successfully complete NFPA Fire Inspector III and NFPA Fire Instructor II within 24 months of employment.
•Must have at least 3 years of experience in U.S. Army Fire Department as Fire Protection Inspector or Station Chief or at least 5 years of experience in U.S. Army Fire Department as Lead Fire Fighter (Crew Chief).
•Employee may be required to successfully complete additional classes, required by changed Host Nation or DoD regulations and laws to continue performing assigned tasks. This may also include certification classes to maintain and operate new acquired equipment.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL:
* German level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages required.
* English level C1 required according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
