MemLog – a subsidiary of SprinD, Germany’s home for people with radical new ideas – is driving the shift toward a new computing paradigm of neuromorphic computing. We develop new memristors to enable AI-systems that compute faster with significantly higher energy‑efficiency. Our goal is to mature this breakthrough technology and scale it toward mass production.
YOUR ROLE
As CEO, you will have full strategic and operational responsibility for maturing the memristor technology and preparing its scale‑up to mass production with leading foundries. You will lead a phased development from proven concepts to functional devices, including a hybrid integration with CMOS technology and a monolithic solution. You have the rare opportunity to translate world‑class research into industrial impact and help realize a new computing paradigm.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop MemLog from early‑stage venture to a scalable, investor‑ready company
Define and adapt the project strategy and milestones in alignment with stakeholders
Ensure timely execution of project milestones
Keep target applications and use cases in focus throughout all development phases
Own investor relations and fundraising activities to support company growth and scale‑up
Resource Management
Manage and coordinate the technology teams and ensure maximum uptime of the pilot line
Plan and monitor the project budget (funding, material resources, and prices).
Manage service providers, technical supplies, and infrastructure.
Report to SPRIND management, specialist departments and other stakeholders.
Ecosystem & Partnerships
Establish and maintain partner networks with foundries, universities, research institutes and VCs/investors.
Involve external technical partners or experts of related technology fields where needed.
Monitor memristor and CMOS technology development
Communication & Public Relations
Define and approve communication strategy for publications and internet and journals
Represent the project internally within SPRIND and externally to partners and stakeholders
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Completed university degree in e.g. semiconductor technology, electrical engineering, physics or material science.
Deep expertise in the semiconductor technology, semiconductor device physics and related fields, including the market landscape, new technology trends and innovations within this sector
Entrepreneurial leader and startup mindset
5+ years’ work experience as team lead in semiconductor- or related industry
Strong network within the tech, startup, and research communities
Hands‑on experience in fund‑raising from venture capital or institutional investors
Sound experience in working closely with industry partners
Creative, solution‑oriented and passionate way of work
Strong communication and presentation skills
Fluent in English and German
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Successful exit(s) with startups as a founder or as a senior executive
MBA from a top tier program
