This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of data, technology, and the investment industry, partnering with asset managers to solve complex operational challenges. You will play a visible role in shaping client relationships, influencing product direction through customer insight, and contributing directly to commercial success across key European markets. Alongside clear revenue ownership, the role supports continuous learning, exposure to sophisticated SaaS solutions, and collaboration with experienced commercial, product, and client success teams in a fast-moving, international environment.
Your key responsibilities as an Business Development Manager – Data Management will include:
* Driving pipeline growth, bookings, and revenue targets through execution of go-to-market plans, including new business and cross-sell opportunities for data management solutions
* Generating demand in close collaboration with marketing and a dedicated Business Development Representative team
* Working alongside Client Success Managers to ensure a seamless post-sales handover and strong client experience
* Building trusted relationships with asset managers, fund operations, and distribution stakeholders across Germany, Austria, Switzerland (Zurich), and the Netherlands
* Partnering with product teams to represent the voice of the customer and contribute to solution roadmap discussions
* Developing and maintaining strong expertise in fund data management, distribution fee structures, and the operational challenges facing asset managers
You will need the following experience and skills to join us as an Business Development Manager – Data Management:
* You have a proven track record in SaaS or technology sales, ideally within data management or fintech solutions for the asset management industry
* You have experience working in a quota-carrying sales role with consistent achievement against revenue targets
* You are fluent in German, with strong English language skills to operate confidently in an international environment
* You have excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills, enabling you to engage senior stakeholders with confidence
* You are experienced in building and managing a sales pipeline using CRM systems, with the ability to forecast accurately and apply structured sales methodologies
