Role Overview We are recruiting for a major supplier of professional stage equipment covering the German and Central European territory. Think stadium-filling lighting, lasers, high-end audio, speakers and special effects. They already supply some of the world’s biggest bands, production firms and artists, and they are now looking to expand their reach in the UK. The position is a high‑profile sales role selling into Tour Managers, Production Managers and Creative Directors for West End shows, Arena tours, Stadium shows, Conferences and major Festivals. The role covers Germany and Central European countries and requires fluent English and German. Responsibilities Focus on a “slow‑burn” approach, building long‑term trust rather than hard selling. Set a target of at least four face‑to‑face meetings per week with the right decision‑makers; no immediate closing pressure. Arrange rental of equipment, including specialist labour for logistics, installation and breakdown across different countries for worldwide tours. Engage in extensive networking and corporate hospitality, managing your own schedule from home while covering the whole of the UK with frequent overnight stays and occasional European travel. Qualifications Fluent in English and German (at least business level). Extensive experience selling equipment on a rental basis (plant hire, materials handling, specialist vehicles, IT leasing, etc.). Understanding of the rental business model is essential. Soft approach to sales – prioritise communication and customer service over quick wins. Ability to handle tough characters and high‑pressure situations, including occasional meetings with global stars. Strong problem‑solving skills and confidence in asking challenging questions. European colleagues will handle technical specifications; you will be trained and inducted with client meetings alongside the CEO.
