As Corporate Consulting and Digitalization team at Heraeus, we know the challenges today's global manufacturing and service companies face. We work on key topics that are highly relevant for the performance of the Heraeus Group and thus create real added value side by side with our colleagues in the Operating Companies. We have deep expertise in Supply Chain Excellence (e.g., Operations, Lean Six Sigma) and Commercial Excellence (e.g., Marketing and Sales). We drive digital innovation in our Operating Companies in many different areas, such as Digital Customer Experience (e.g., eCommerce, Web, CRM, Customer Analytics), IoT (e.g., Machine Connectivity, Robotics, Automation, Metrology) and Data Science (e.g., AI, Data Engineering, Optimization). The Supply Chain Excellence team leads group‑wide initiatives to strengthen performance, resilience, and structural effectiveness across the value chain. We seek not only project managers, but strategic thinkers who challenge established norms, drive transformation, and advance operational excellence at Heraeus
The following challenges await you:
1. Within our Supply Chain Excellence Team, you will contribute to strategic transformation projects that deliver measurable business results across global operations.
2. Independent leadership of project modules or workstreams in national and international transformation projects
3. Development of robust business cases, target operating models, and implementation roadmaps
4. Support and execution of improvement initiatives directly within operational areas — including the shopfloor — in close collaboration with on‑site managers and employees
5. State-of-the-art tools, international teamwork and a results-driven culture define your daily work environment.
6. Ensuring the sustainable anchoring of measures through structured implementation, KPI tracking, and capability building within the organization
7. Application and further development of Lean Management and Six Sigma methodologies as part of holistic transformation programs
Your profile:
8. University degree in a relevant field such as engineering, operations, supply chain or business – completed with strong results
9. Established 3–5 years of relevant consulting experience in Operations, Supply Chain, or Performance Improvement (e.g., strategy consulting, top‑management consulting, Big Four operations units, or specialized transformation consultancies)
10. Proven experience in the structured analysis of complex problems as well as in developing actionable solutions
11. Responsibility for projects or workstreams across multiple consulting engagements
12. Business‑fluent German and English skills
13. Strong analytical and conceptual skills, combined with confident communication at all organizational levels
14. Willingness to travel (20–60%), depending on project demands
15. Nice to have: Experience in production‑related or supply‑chain‑adjacent topics or practical Knowledge of Lean Management, Six Sigma or comparable operational‑excellence methodologies
