Position Overview
This position is a key role established within the German group company, combining dual responsibilities in finance and tax management. The candidate will be responsible for implementing the group's overall financial strategy, coordinating IPO preparation, providing comprehensive financial support, and overseeing domestic and international tax compliance and optimization. The ideal candidate should possess solid experience in financial and tax management, with a strong understanding of multinational group operations, and be able to collaborate effectively in an international environment. Serving as a vital bridge between the German group company and the Chinese parent company, this role requires strong professional competence, strategic vision, and execution capability to provide robust support for the group's long-term stability and sustainable development
Key Responsibilities
I. Financial Management
• Oversee financial management activities across the German group and its German holding company, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance of the financial information.
• Coordinate the group's IPO preparation, including communication and collaboration with sponsors, auditors, and other external advisors to meet IPO requirements.
• Review budgets and financial statements of the German group and its subsidiaries, and supervise financial analysis, business performance, and key f inancial indicators.
• Provide professional financial guidance and support to subsidiaries; promote standardization, digitalization, and enhancement of internal control systems.
• Participate in group financing initiatives, including financial planning, structure design, and management of relationships with banks and financial institutions.
• Assist the CFO in formulating and implementing financial strategies and policies; provide analytical insights and financial advice to support business decisions.
II. Tax Management
• Oversee tax compliance, reporting, and internal control systems for the German group and its subsidiaries.
• Lead group-wide tax planning and structural optimization, including cross-border tax risk assessments and profit allocation strategies.
• Manage tax audits and inspections; maintain effective communication with tax authorities to ensure compliance and minimize risk exposure.
• Provide tax advisory and compliance support for daily operations, cross-border transactions, investments, and M&A projects.
• Manage the group's transfer pricing policies and documentation to ensure compliance with German and international tax regulations.
• Oversee tax management and risk monitoring for overseas permanent establishments.
• Continuously track changes in German and international tax laws and assess their potential impact on the group's financial and business operations.
Qualifications
• 8+ years of combined experience in financial and tax management, preferably within a multinational corporation group.
• Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Familiarity with the German tax regulatory system, transfer pricing principles, and international taxation for project-based enterprises.
• German Tax Advisor (Steuerberater) certification or equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Prior experience with IPO preparation, financial standardization, or external audit coordination is highly desirable.
• Excellent financial analysis, project management, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Proficiency with financial and tax management systems, strong numerical sensitivity, and analytical reasoning.
• Fluency in Chinese, English, and German, with the ability to work and communicate effectively in a multinational environment.
