SAP PI / PO Consultant

Role Overview An opportunity has arisen for an experienced SAP PI/PO Consultant to support and enhance enterprise integration landscapes within complex SAP environments. The role focuses on maintaining and developing middleware solutions that enable reliable data exchange between SAP and non-SAP systems.
The successful candidate will bring strong hands-on experience with SAP Process Integration (PI) and Process Orchestration (PO) and will play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and governance of business-critical integrations.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain integration scenarios using SAP PI/PO.
* Support and monitor business-critical integrations across SAP and third-party systems.
* Develop and maintain interfaces, mappings, and communication channels within the SAP middleware landscape.
* Troubleshoot and resolve integration failures, performance issues, and data inconsistencies.
* Manage transport and change processes across development, testing, and production environments.
* Collaborate with functional and technical teams to gather requirements and implement integration solutions.
* Ensure adherence to integration standards, documentation practices, and operational governance.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of the integration platform and related processes.
Required Experience & Skills
* 7–12 years of experience working with SAP PI/PO or related SAP middleware technologies.
* Strong hands-on experience in interface development, message mappings, and adapter configurations.
* Experience supporting complex integration landscapes involving SAP and non-SAP systems.
* Solid understanding of integration protocols such as IDoc, RFC, SOAP, REST, and XML.
* Experience managing change control, transport management, and release processes in SAP environments.
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving integration issues.
* Ability to work collaboratively with distributed technical and functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
* Exposure to SAP Integration Suite or SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI).
* Experience working within SAP S/4HANA environments or migration programmes.
* Familiarity with modern integration architectures and API-based connectivity.
