More about this role

You will support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives under the guidance of the IL6S Manager. You will collect and analyze operational data, assist in identifying inefficiencies, support problem-solving workshops, and contribute to the implementation of improvement actions across production and business processes.

Over 3-years (permanent contract also beyond the program) your learning path will be sculptured by on-the-job industry experience with guidance from senior managers and mentors.

During your first rotation you’ll get to work as a Junior Continuous Improvement Engineer. You’ll gain depth and breadth of knowledge and skills, exposure to industry experts as well as a holistic understanding of our business – an amazing chance to grow every day.

Your main responsibilities will include:

1. You will be responsible for the development and promotion of the IL6S culture,

2. You will be responsible for supporting the implementation of Continuous Improvement (CI) projects in the section,

3. You will identify and analyze deviations and weaknesses in the section, initiate corrective actions, and track results,

4. You will support the development and training of production teams in IL6S methods to improve processes and reduce losses,

5. You will support team leaders in achieving the plant targets within the section,

6. You will be responsible for monthly checks of IL6S KPIs used in the section, ensuring plausibility and up-to-dateness, and informing superiors in case of deviations,

7. You will actively participate in DMS II and DMS III within the section,

8. You will closely cooperate with the IL6S Team and Section Managers in the plant,

9. You will be an active member of the FI Pillar,

10. You will have successfully completed Yellow Belt training.

What you will bring:

A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career. You will bring experience and knowledge in:

11. TECHNICAL EXPERTISE in process improvement, lean methodologies, root cause analysis, data collection and performance tracking.

12. BUSINESS ACUMEN and a solid understanding of manufacturing operations, continuous improvement principles. Experience in a production or operational excellence environment is a plus.

13. LEADERSHIP SKILLS including collaboration and communication skills within a larger Continuous Improvement team.

14. GROWTH/DIGITAL MINDSET and the ability to execute opportunities and leverage technology to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

15. INTEGRITY and sound judgement in all decisions and interactions aligned with our values and policies and external regulations.

Education:

16. Graduate status (up to max. 1 year after graduation) & Students of last year (BA & MA),

17. University courses preferred: Engineering (e.g. Mechanical, Industrial, Production, Manufacturing), Automation, Mechatronics, Quality Management, Logistics, or related technical fields.

Language requirements:

18. Fluent English is required,

19. Advanced German (minimum B2–C1 level).

Location Flexibility:

The role may require temporary relocation if the second rotation of the program will be assigned to a different factory. We are looking for candidates who are mobile and open to short-term relocation as part of their development journey.
