We’re working with a client who are redefining the future of biopharmaceutical manufacturing with cutting-edge digital twins and hybrid modeling. Their AI-driven solutions empower top biopharma companies to accelerate process development, improve product quality, and reduce time to market.
Our client are seeking a Principal AI/Modeling Scientist to lead innovation at the intersection of machine learning, mechanistic modeling, and bioprocess engineering.
What You’ll Do
* Lead development of next-gen digital twin and hybrid modeling frameworks (ODEs, SDEs, PDEs, neural networks).
* Integrate AI/ML and control theory to support process automation and simulation.
* Drive scientific innovation in explainable AI, optimization, and scalable model deployment.
* Collaborate with execs, customers, and technical teams to translate science into strategy.
* Mentor and grow a world-class team of modeling scientists.
* Architect cloud-ready, transparent, and production-scale modeling pipelines (Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow).
Your Expertise
* Advanced experience in hybrid modeling, probabilistic methods, and systems optimization.
* Fluent in Python, ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX), and orchestration tools (Airflow, Spark, Flyte).
* Bioprocess domain knowledge: bioreactor systems, upstream processes, and industrial datasets.
* Confident communicator and technical leader with a passion for innovation.
Bonus Points For:
* Prior leadership in large-scale modeling or digital twin projects.
* Published work in peer-reviewed journals or major conferences.
* Familiarity with GxP/GMP environments and regulatory requirements.
* Experience with advanced MLOps and explainability tools.
