Job Description
In this position, you will be responsible for drafting, negotiating, and reviewing complex commercial agreements, including licensing agreements, co-development agreements, and distribution agreements. You will also participate in due diligence processes and provide business-focused legal advice to internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, including licensing agreements, co-development agreements, and distribution agreements
* Participating in due diligence processes and providing business-focused legal advice to internal stakeholders
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and success
* Identifying training needs among business stakeholders and developing and conducting training sessions on relevant legal topics
* Establishing and building good working relationships with internal clients based on mutual trust and respect
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
* A university degree in law and completion of the second German State Exam with above-average grades, or foreign-qualified lawyer from Germany, the UK, Switzerland, or Austria with above-average grades
* At least 5 years of post-qualified experience (PQE), including a minimum of 2 years in the pharmaceutical or life science industry
* A proven track record in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts typical in the life science industry, including BDL-related transaction agreements
* The ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects and timelines in a fast-paced environment
* Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, and skilled at managing outside counsel
