As the Senior Frontend Engineer (all genders), you will implement new features and maintain significant parts of our job seeker user flows and interfaces. Your work will involve discussing, designing, and developing various parts of our talent-focused products, defining and evolving frontend standards, mentoring team members, and leveraging both traditional approaches and AI-enhanced solutions to create exceptional user experiences.
At HeyJobs, we invest heavily in leveraging AI-augmented software engineering tooling to increase time to market and impact significantly. You will be using the latest tooling (currently Claude Code and your IDE of choice, including Cursor or Github Copilot) and adopting it for new workflows and use cases, as well as emerging ones. As part of your journey with us, you will grow further into an AI-accelerated engineer who significantly punches above their own weight.

How you can contribute to HeyJobs
* Build and maintain our Talent Platform using TypeScript, React, and NextJS
* Troubleshoot and fix bugs in our applications
* Pair with other engineers on tough problems to arrive at the best solution
* Contribute to and maintain a robust frontend monitoring framework that lets us detect problems early
* Mentor engineers to help them grow as software professionals
* Work closely with other disciplines, like Product Managers and Designers, to deliver great solutions
What sets you up for success
* Min. 3 years or more of full-time experience
* Experience with React
* Fluency in Typescript and JavaScript
* Excellent understanding of web development (how HTTP works, REST, in-browser storage, etc.)
* Experience leveraging AI tools as part of your fundamental workflow, from general prompting to agents with Copilot, Cursor, and alike
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
* Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
* You are a team player with a strong motivation to contribute to team success
