Key objectives of the job:
* Source and manage new clients Asset Managers for our AIF Depositary department, through active prospecting;
* Identify, negotiate and execute opportunities (term sheets, internal committees, etc.);
* Maximize cross-selling with others banking products (Bank accounts, Financings, Forex…);
* Promote AIF Depositary activity both internally and externally (conferences, events…);
* Create strategic partnerships with service providers as Fund Admin. / AIFMs / Lawyers / Big 4;
* Be a driving force in the development of products and services.
Deliverables and key activities:
* Generate new clients for the AIFD portfolio;
* Achieve expected results in terms of new clients, assets under depositary, and account openings while providing the first line of defense;
* Ability to identify opportunities and negotiate with a constructive win-win attitude for the client and the bank;
* Actively collaborate with RMs when growth opportunities are identified within their portfolios;
* Work closely with other BDs IB to proactively position IB's value proposition;
* Work on innovative proposals highlighting all the solutions offered to alternative investment funds, and position yourself as a partner who can offer a comprehensive and consistent range of services to the client;
* Comply with all procedures and compliance obligations (KYC, AML, etc.) related to the role;
* Document client information in the CRM;
* Act as an ambassador for the BIL Group externally: conferences, presentations, training (ALFI, LPEA, etc.);
* Be a source of proposals for product and service development.
Your skills:
* University degree BAC +5 (finance, business administration, audit, legal).
* Fluent in English and French, any other language is considered an advantage.
* Experience of at least 10 years in the banking/fund industry.
* Extensive knowledge of:
1. Banks' organisation and activities, workflows, operational risk management processes / tools and challenges;
2. Financial products and services such as cash / treasury management, securities (transactions, safekeeping, …), financing and capital markets solutions.
3. AIFMD regulation and the legal and regulatory framework;
4. Alternative asset classes such as Private Equity, Private Debt, Real Estate and Infrastructure;
5. Drivers of the European fund industry.
