Your duties include
* Representation of the subject areas of data protection and IT law with data protection management as well as related topics such as IT security law, copyright law, AI in data protection and copyright law in teaching and applied research
* Establishing and leading a degree specialization in data protection management
* Conducting additional courses at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels as well as within the doctoral program
* Research and development activities
* Proactive acquisition of third-party funding through research and transfer activities
* Practice-oriented teaching in the subject areas both in German and in English and also using digital formats (e-learning, blended learning)
* Content-specific and strategic further development of the subject areas with special focus on digitization
* High-quality supervision of practical assignments, Bachelor's and Master's theses as well as doctorates
* Involvement in setting up new international partnerships and maintaining existing ones
* Active and interdisciplinary involvement in administering academic affairs
You offer
* Preferably an academic university degree in Data protection law, business law, IT law or a comparable discipline
* Relevant professional experience and knowledge in the field of data protection as well as current topics in IT security law
* Very good German and English proficiency and ability and willingness to teach in German and in English
* Enthusiasm for passing on your practical experience in teaching applied research to our students as future academics

Recruitment pursuant to Article 57 (3) of the BayHIG
* Completed university degree, preferably in the field of Data protection law, business law, IT law or a comparable discipline
* Excellent academic achievements in research and an outstanding doctoral degree or equivalent academic qualification
* Pedagogical aptitude
* Special achievements in the application or development of academic knowledge and methods in a minimum of five years of work experience, which must have been acquired after completion of the university degree and of which at least three years must have been acquired outside the university sector. If, over a period of at least five years, a considerable portion of your work involved a cooperation between a university and a non-academic employer, this time may be considered to meet the requirements for non-academic work experience in special cases (pursuant to Article 57 (3) Sentence 1 No. 3 of the Bavarian Higher Education Innovation Act (BayHIG)).
