We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Construction Superintendent to oversee daily on-site construction operations and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. The Superintendent will manage subcontractors, coordinate site activities, enforce safety standards, and serve as the primary on-site leader from project start to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Site Management & Operations
1. Oversee all daily on-site construction activities
2. Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, labor, and materials
3. Ensure work is performed according to plans, specifications, and local building codes
4. Maintain site organization, cleanliness, and productivity
Schedule & Quality Control
5. Develop and maintain the project schedule in coordination with the Project Manager
6. Monitor progress and proactively address delays or issues
7. Conduct daily and weekly site inspections to ensure quality standards are met
8. Verify completed work before inspections and turnover
Safety & Compliance
9. Enforce all company, OSHA, and site-specific safety regulations
10. Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks
11. Identify and correct unsafe conditions immediately
12. Maintain site safety documentation and incident reports
Communication & Leadership
13. Serve as the primary on-site point of contact
14. Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, inspectors, and clients
15. Lead by example and foster a positive, professional job-site culture
16. Resolve conflicts and field issues efficiently
Documentation & Reporting
17. Maintain daily logs, progress reports, and manpower tracking
18. Review drawings, RFIs, and change orders
19. Assist with inspections, punch lists, and project closeout documentation
Qualifications
Required
20. 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role
21. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and sequencing
22. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
23. Proven experience managing subcontractors and job-site personnel
24. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
25. OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain)
26. Valid driver’s license
Preferred
27. Experience with [commercial / residential / multifamily / industrial] construction
28. Familiarity with scheduling software (Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project, or similar)
29. CPR/First Aid certification
